Thank you for shopping at L. Stephen Decants. Because we custom-pour, decant, and handle independent luxury fragrance samples to order, our return policy differs from traditional retail stores. Please review our guidelines regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations below.
1. Final Sale Policy (No Returns or Exchanges)
Due to strict hygiene, health, and sanitary regulations governing cosmetics and personal care products, all fragrance decants, sample vials, and custom discovery sets are considered FINAL SALE and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once they have been shipped from our facility.
We cannot accept returns on decants because we cannot verify that the liquid inside has not been altered, diluted, or exposed to improper temperatures. We highly recommend purchasing our smallest sample size (e.g., 1ml or 2ml) to test a fragrance before committing to larger volumes.
2. Damaged, Leaking, or Incorrect Items
We take immense pride in our secure packaging and sealing processes. However, if your order arrives structurally damaged, leaking extensively, or if you received the incorrect fragrance, we will happily make it right.
Reporting Window: You must report any damaged or incorrect items to our support team within 48 hours of the delivery time stamped on your tracking number.
Requirements for a Claim: To process your claim, you must email lance@lstephendecants.com with:
1. Your order number.
2. Clear, high-resolution photographs of the damaged bottle, the leakage inside the packaging, or the incorrect label.
Resolution: Approved claims will be resolved with either a complimentary replacement shipment of the original item ordered or store credit, issued at our sole discretion.
3. Order Cancellations
Because we begin printing labels, sanitizing syringes, and hand-pouring your decants shortly after an order is placed, our window for cancellations is limited:
You may request a full order cancellation within 2 hours of your purchase.
Once an order has entered our fulfillment system, been poured, or been handed over to our shipping carriers (USPS/UPS), it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded.
4. Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Shipments
Once your package is handed over to the shipping carrier, the transit process is outside of our direct control.
Incorrect Addresses: We are not responsible for shipments that are lost or delivered to the wrong location due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided at checkout. Please double-check your details before submitting your order.
Stolen Packages: If your tracking information states that your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, please check with neighbors or your local postal carrier. We are not liable for packages stolen from porches or mailboxes after official delivery verification.
